New red alert in Spain with 100 already dead
The rain is falling in Spain, near Valencia, once again. This region, which was very badly affected by Tuesday's floods, is on red alert. The disaster has already cost the life of 100 people... and it's not over yet!
For Spain, these are the worst floods in 50 years. Catalonia, Andalusia and Castile-La Mancha were hit by very violent storms followed by breaking waves and mudslides during the evening and night of Tuesday, October 29, 2024. Entire areas have been devastated. Rescuers have already recovered 100 bodies, particularly in the Valencia region. They are still looking for survivors and many missing people. The human toll could therefore rise even further.
Shoplifting
In addition, Castellón is also on red alert as of this Thursday, October 31 with the arrival of new heavy rains. King Felipe VI said in a speech that the bad weather wasn't over. For his part, Prime Minister, Pedro Sanchez, asked the population to stay indoors. In this chaos, profiteers and delinquents are looting abandoned shopping centers. The national police have already arrested 39 people. The police officers made sure to recover as many stolen objects as possible and return them to the rightful owners.
